mood: amusedamused

I think Shauna is going to kill me for this. "How dare you defile those things?!"

If you are wondering what I am talking about, look at my mood. Of all of the mood themes, I liked the hamsters the most. It's that, or Shauna will send a chimerical rodent because of it. Or not. She didn't pinch me when I came into the shelter without any green on St. Patrick's, but she got Shoklok and Barrel to pull that stunt off on April first... Ah, I'm going to miss them.

A roll by another name...

Dec. 11th, 2005 | 02:39 pm

Well, I'm planning on making pastries each Sunday morning and seeing what recipes people like. If anyone is interested in getting a recipe, they just need to ask. I just hope they'll listen to the 'one roll per person' rule.

Probably not, but it's worth a shot.

Mother called, asking how I was doing. She talked about the normal things, and I listened while I was eating my guiltiest pleasure; cheap pizza. I won't eat most fast food, but oh god, I loved pizza as a kid and Pizza Hut was my favorite... *sigh* She still doesn't know I am double-majoring.

Father does, though. He asked and I answered. He was silent for a minute and asked me about how was the college and told me that Janet and Michelle was still asking about me. Ugh. I thought I got it across to both of them that the Samhain two years ago was an accident. Remembering it even now makes me feel like my head is about to explode... when Shauna said that the sidhe don't need help making ourselves look stupid, she wasn't kidding.

A roommate...

Dec. 8th, 2005 | 07:39 pm

Well, I have a roommate, and it's actually someone I know. Vaguely, but still, it's a good start. He's a satyr named Jonathan Fraser-Drake. He's more interested in the fine arts of liqour, but it was a pleasure to talk shop, and hey, even better, I can get advice from him.

Okay, Fairgrove has some required classes, and I decided to take these classes:

Culinary Arts 101 (I can't wait to start!)
Asian Civilizations (Julian, a friend from back home, suggested it since I could learn more about the culture that produces some of my favorite dishes)
Economics (I'm double majoring, remember?)
and, Introduction to Literature (required, and well, I hope it doesn't do Othello like my last class...)

oh, and Public Service. That won't be so hard, I worked in a soup kitchen for 40 hours, and that was the first step out of my 'asshole' stage. And as you can see, I'm still crawling out.

Er, True Intro (IC)

Dec. 2nd, 2005 | 06:21 pm
music: Monty Python

Well, never had a lj before, so might as well introduce myself.

My 'real name' until I was 16 is something I prefer not to speak of, but you can call me Nathan Rose, I have used it since I could ever remember. It's a long(ish) story about why, and I'd prefer not to explain it to the world, no matter how much my biologicals want me to be ashamed of it.

I'm 18, in college, average height, brown hair, gray eyes, scrawny. I love to cook. In fact, I love it so much that I prefer to cook my own meals and I want to open my own place when I am older, hence my double major in boring business and culinary arts. I'm okay-looking, I guess, a lot of others outshine me until you get me talking. I have been told I'm very good at convincing people to do things... but a lot of my 'classmates' are dumb enough to do some of the stupid shit I suggested when I was in my 'asshole' stage.

Thank heavens I am out of that stage. I'm in the 'let's just get my $%^&ing bearings first' mode as I'm typing away on this laptop, paid by *sigh* the female bio, who insisted on it after I got her 'that lovely bracelet.' To be honest, I was planning to buy one myself after I got settled at Fairgrove, but noooo, they wanted to get me one.

Okay, so I am not all that out of that stage yet, and it's embarrassing. I feel bad when I complain, but it just comes out of my fingertips and onto the screen. *sigh* I hate it.
